Seattle Sounders FC’s charitable arm, RAVE Structure, together with the Seattle Storm, have actually teamed up with Symetra Life Insurance Business to support and enhance equitable access to safe, enjoyable exercise for youth by renovating the court at Midway Park in the Pacific Ridge Area into new soccer mini pitch and basketball court.
The multi-purpose entertainment area is a donation from the RAVE Foundation and Storm with generous support from Symetra Life Insurance Company. Together with the City and Highline Public Schools, these champs are teaming up to buy a brand new court planned free of charge play.
The dual soccer and basketball court at Midway Park will be totally free to all and will serve to motivate complimentary play and community pride.
The Sounders and Storm have also pledged ongoing programming at Midway Park and nearby Midway Elementary.Highline Schools just recently held a virtual class for regional kids to produce the art for the hoops/goals, including the youth of the local community in the task. The City will host an online skills center later this summertime, with complimentary balls in advance and instruction provided by the Sounders/Storm. The park repair is underway and anticipated to
