Ballard QFC workers raise money for colleague assaulted on his method to work – KING5.com

Moses Brudnyy states an African American male asked him if he supported the Black Lives Matter motion and after he stated,’yes,’the male attacked him.

SEATTLE– A Ballard QFC staff member was completely attacked on Saturday while he was on his method to work after supposedly saying he supports Black Lives Matter.

He runs out work while he recovers, and the medical costs are piling up.< div class=" short article __ section article

He was on 15th Street by the Ballard Market when he said an African American man asked if he supported the Black Lives Matter movement.”I was just like,’ Yeah, guy, Black Lives Matter.

She flew in from Texas to be by her kid’s side as he

recovers. He suffered a concussion, broken nose, bleeding and bruising and spent a few nights at the hospital.

“He’s young, he makes base pay, let’s help him out.

This is horrific, “stated his supervisor at QFC Katrina Barton. Barton said Ballard Swedish Health center where Brudnyy was taken does not accept their insurance leaving him with medical expenses. She established a GoFundMe page that’s collected over $ 20,000 in contributions. “Everybody down there has stepped up. This whole community has actually stepped up. It’s in fact kind of provided me a bit more faith in what’s happening in our world today to see the profusion for Moses.

It’s really amazing,”Barton stated.

Instead of focusing on the attack, Brudnyy is grateful for the people in his life.

“This person, obviously he could have been going through something horrible in his life that clouded his judgment, “Burdnyy stated.”Many people out here are good people, and we’re all simply type of attempting to make it to the next day.”

“It feels like he has a family here. He has his 2nd family right here, his work community, “said Peters.
